अनुसूचित जाती व अनुसूचित जमाती (अत्याचारास प्रतिबंध ) अधिनियम ,१९८९ व नियम ,१९९५ | THE SCHEDULED CASTES & THE SCHEDULED TRIBES (PREVENTION OF ATROCITIES) ACT, 1989
हा भारतीय संसदेचा कायदा असून अनुसूचित जाती (SC) व अनुसूचित जमाती (ST) यांच्यावरील अत्याचार व द्वेषमूलक गुन्हे रोखण्यासाठी १९८९ मध्ये लागू करण्यात आला. या कायद्याची अंमलबजावणी नियमावली (नियम) १९९५ मध्ये केंद्र सरकारने अधिसूचित केली. या कायद्याला "SC/ST कायदा," "POA," किंवा "अॅट्रॉसिटी कायदा" असेही म्हटले जाते. An Act of the Parliament of India enacted in 1989 to prevent atrocities and hate crimes against Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). The implementing Rules were notified by the Central Government in 1995. The law is also referred to as the "SC/ST Act," "POA," or the "Atrocities Act."

हा कायदा पश्चिम महाराष्ट्र, कोकण व खानदेश विभागातील कुळ (कसणारा शेतकरी) व जमीन मालक यांच्यातील संबंध नियंत्रित करण्यासाठी तयार करण्यात आला आहे. हा अधिनियम पश्चिम महाराष्ट्रातील, कोकण व खानदेश विभागातील जिल्ह्यांसाठी संमत झाला आहे. कुळाला संरक्षण देणे, कुळांना जमिनीची मालकी मिळवून देणे आणि शेतजमिनीच्या हस्तांतरणावर नियंत्रण ठेवणे हा या कायद्याचा मुख्य उद्देश आहे. यासोबतच १९५६ चे नियम या अधिनियमाच्या अंमलबजावणीसाठीची कार्यपद्धती (procedure) ठरवतात. This Act was enacted to regulate the relationship between tenants (cultivators) and landowners of agricultural land in Western Maharashtra, Konkan and Khandesh regions. It protects tenant rights, enables tenants to acquire ownership of land they cultivate, and regulates/restricts transfer of agricultural land. The 1956 Rules lay down the procedural framework for implementing the Act.
